Meet your Fantasy Writing Coaches !
Fantasy is a huuuuge genre. You can kind of imagine fantasy as an umbrella. Underneath that umbrella are a variety of fantasy sub-categories (or "kinds of fantasy"). To keep things organized, I've grouped fantasy into the following categories:
High Fantasy
Portal Fantasy
Contemporary Fantasy
Fantasy Mythology
This is by no means an exhaustive list of fantasy sub categories, but it's a good start.
